In 2017 I first rehearsed with Yannis and Stefan and decided I wanted to play my graduation concert at music school with them. Not only was that the first time I had to take the role of being a bandleader, but also it was one of the first times I ever showed other people my own compositions.
Everything worked well and we also played a few other gigs in that Trio but it eventually kinda stopped...We didn't play for like three years and in 2020 I suddenly realized that this band, and these compositions make up a really special vibe that I wanted to document. I asked Rebekka rather spontaneously if she wanted to join but it all came very natural since she knows my music really well (she has to listen to me play it all the time in our shared home).
this calm, melancholic, and mysteriously beautiful music draws inspiration from: the Brian Jonestown Massacre, My bloody valentine, John Cage, Charles Tournemire, field trips, dioramas in museums, Hermann Hesse, Franz Kafka, drugs, video games, etc.
